Last Friday, October 25th, the Bayard XC team traveled to the eastern part of the state to Kearney to participate in the NSAA State Meet. On the boys side, Bayard’s lone runner, Daemon Aveilez, placed 81st out of 151 placers. He ran a time of 18:55.8. Congratulations to Daemon and his season this year! For the girls contest, we had the entire girls team qualify. At Districts, they were runners-up. As a result the entire team got to run at the State course. Jessica Whitebear, the lone senior, placed 35th with a time of 21:50.1. Next in line was junior, Laisha Garza, running a time of 23:12.9 earning herself 80th place. Laura Albro wasn’t too far behind at 84th place with a time of 23:21.2. Also running for the Lady Tigers was Tabbi Muhr at 87th place, Sharon Garza at 127th, and Cambree Schmaltz at 132nd.
