Another Fun, Successful, Red Ribbon Week Enjoyed By Students

By Grace Burry

Last week, the Elementary school got to celebrate Red Ribbon Week. This centered around learning about the dangers of drug, alcohol, and tobacco use and why students should avoid them. Each day of the week they got to dress up according to what the elementary student council put together. On Monday, the students and teachers got to lounge in the luxury of their pajamas all day. Tuesday, students and staff threw it back in throwback day showing off retro outfits and even threw back to the day before and got to spend another day in PJs. Wednesday they picked their favorite Disney characters and got to spend the day as the character of their choice. Thursday staff saw double as the kids participated in twin day. Of course, Friday, students showed off school pride for spirit day. Red Ribbon Week is a fun and informative week for the children to learn about drugs and alcohol and why it is imperative to stay away from all of it. Each year, students have a whole week to have fun and get an important reminder. Thanks to our staff for caring for our future generations and setting a great example for our kids to follow.
