Digital Citizenship

Digital Citizenship Learning Opportunity October 18th

Bayard Public Schools is pleased to partner with Alliance Public Schools to provide the following digital citizenship learning opportunity for students in grades 6-12 on October 18th at Alliance High School. There is also an opportunity for parents to learn the same evening!

Getting Parents and Students Informed!

Most parents know that their kids are on Facebook (because no kid can be without it these days) and possibly Twitter as well. But there are a host of other less well-known services and websites used by teens that are now under scrutiny. School attorney, Karen Haase, will review the social media applications that she sees students using in Nebraska currently and will explore the legal issues that arise connected with each of these platforms.

Session schedule for Oct 18 at Alliance High School Performing Arts Center is as follows:

1:00pm - Bayard Grade 6-12 Student Presentation (with students from other schools)
6:30 pm - Parent/Public Presentation (parents from Bayard are welcome!)
