FFA

On January 9th Bayard FFA attended a contest at WNCC in Scottsbluff, NE. Bayard FFA took 4 teams to the contest including an Ag Sales team, a welding team, a floriculture team, and a livestock management team. The Ag sales team included Bailee Lake receiving a blue, Kristin Clause receiving a white, Lorren Henkel receiving a red, and Katie Colson. Overall the team placed 6th. The welding team included Dorry Cooper in Mig welding, Dawson Kriha in Oxy-fuel welding, and Tanner Henkel in Arc welding. Overall the team placed 6th. The livestock management team included Ryan Liakos who competed in sheep, Payton Oliverius who competed in swine, Gordon Acosta who competed in poultry, Taylor Gier who competed in horse and placed second receiving a blue ribbon, and Tanner Rafferty who competed in beef and dairy receiving a white in dairy. Overall the team placed 9th. The floriculture team included Sierra Sauer receiving a red ribbon, Candace Wolfe receiving a red ribbon, Laura Albro receiving a blue ribbon, Liz Marker receiving a purple ribbon and 3rd place, and Kylie Stuart receiving a purple and 1st place. Overall the team placed 1st and qualified for State.
