Miss Rogers Class
November 18, 2008
This week in Miss Rogers’ 4th grade class we are going to start working with decimals! We have really come a long way with fractions and seem to have a pretty good grasp on them. We are currently reading the selection The Horned Toad Prince and continue to work on sequencing and author’s purpose. We have written the first and second draft of our Superhero stories, and will soon be writing our final copy. We had fun writing them and there are quite a few superheroes in 4B!! We look forward to getting to share them as well. Last week we had our first “snow afternoon” of the year. We made some awesome scarecrows to decorate our door with and will be making poppies the first part of the week in honor of Veteran’s Day. We will be learning flag etiquette from some of our local veterans. We are working hard in AR and striving to make our 2 point goal every week. We really enjoyed the pizza party last Friday! YUMMY! J We also strive hard each week to turn in our homework on time so we can earn a Homework Hero award on Friday as well as following all of our class rules to earn a star on our Miss Rogers’ Rebels motorcycles and a special treat or prize! We are off to a great start and are growing up so much right in front of Miss Rogers’ eyes! She just can’t believe it!
